Reviews and Recommendations

I read. A lot. My goodreads account says something like 1300 currently, but I know I've read far more than that in my 44 years upon this earth. I read daily. It is a rare day that I don't. Sadly, I cannot read while traveling due to motion sickness, however, audiobooks are now a thing! Don't want to listen to the husband's classic rock, put in the earbuds and listen to a good book. I also put in the earbuds and listen to a book when he's watching t.v. and I don't want to hear it. Some of his shows are worse than others. I don't need to hear the foul language that spews from my t.v.

I have found I love audiobooks for several reasons but the number one reason is so that I can still "read" and get something done around this house or work on other projects as I've constantly got 99 unfinished projects going on. I have recommended books to friends for as long as I can remember. I was once told, to be a good author you have to read a lot. I can definetly say, I read, a lot. As for the good author part, I don't know yet. I've three books published and too many ideas in my head for others. I wish a person could clean away the crud in their brain like you can a computer, maybe then I could focus on a single idea vs 35.

That being said, I realized I've been slacking on leaving book reviews. I think book reviews help an author gain notice and the more people who read their books, the better chance they have of making more than a few pennies a month. So, I'm attempting to get back to writing my reviews and sharing the work of fellow authors. It's the kind thing to do for them. I try to follow the motto of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it". However, a negative review will also gain notice for the author. People might read it just to see why the other person was so hateful about it.

I added another page to the menu bar at the top of this website. You will have to click "more" to see it. Then click on "Reading" and you will be able to read my book reviews as well as be provided a link should one appeal to you. I have a LOT of books and reviews to add to that page. Therefore it is going to take a hot minute, so check back often to see what's been added.

I'm sure I'm missing a genre there, I'll add to it as I go through my mountain of read books. There are even some I'm ashamed to admit I read, but we all fall prey to, "why is everyone talking about THAT book" if ya know what I mean.
